Adding Domains and Subdomains to Your Web Hosting Account

Adding Domains and Subdomains to Your Web Hosting Account

Now that you have web hosting set up, you will need to point your domain to ZEE Digital name servers:

  • ns1.zeedigital.net
  • ns2.zeedigital.net
  • ns3.zeedigital.net
  • ns4.zeedigital.net

This change can be done within the domain registry (e.g. GoDaddy) where you bought the domain from. If you bought the domain or transferred the domain to ZEE Digital, you can review these settings in the client portal.

DNS records take a few hours to propagate so you will have to wait for this to complete.

Now let’s say you want to add additional domain names you own or add subdomains, you will have to map the additional domain name to a directory within your hosting account. Your main domain is mapped to public_html. Additional domains or subdomains will have to mapped to another path but under the the public_html directory. See the mapping example below.

Now that the directories are created, the mapping has to be setup. Access the Domains Editor.

You will see the mappings in place.

Click on the Create a New Button.

When subdomains or new domains are added, the directory folder will be created automatically. If you want to verify the folder, access the File Manager.

Navigate into the public_html and see whether the folders exists.

At this point, you populating your website content directly int your new directories.
